Do you want to win 99,999 coins per battle?

Y-Comm is a new feature introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield that serves as a place where you can trade pokemon, participate in Link-Battles, and send and receive notifications about participating in Max Raid Battles. They all use online or local communication. Any online communication requires an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Y-Comm is just another option in the game menu. You can access it at any time by pressing the Y button on the Nintendo switch. When it opens, you will see a channel with all other connected players. The side menu allows you to navigate through different sections in Y-Comm.

Max Raid Battles

Max Raid Battles is a new gameplay element in Pokémon Sword and Shield. In Max Raid Battles, players can team up with three others to fight Dynamax’s wild pokémon in the wilderness. When you explore pokemon Dens, you will come across different kinds of Dynamax Pokemon, so be sure to explore everything!

These wild Dynamax pokemon are no joke either. While battling these Dynamax pokemons, there’s a chance they can make multiple moves in a single turn, neutralize the abilities of your own pokemons, remove any character changes that are currently in effect, or set up a barrier that prevents most damage. These battles will require more teamwork and strategy to overcome, but the rewards (caught defeated Dynamax pokemon and useful items) are worth the time and energy.

If your pokemon was knocked out during a Max RAID Battle, you can continue to cheer on your teammates. The key to removing barriers is to repeatedly attack them and just give everything you have.

Dynamax

Dynamaxing is a new game element introduced in the VIII generation. With Dynamaxing, it’s a temporary transformation of pokémon, dramatically increasing their size, increasing their stats, and altering their available moves in Max Moves.

Players can Dynamax their pokemon if they have a Dynamax Band item. Dynamaxing can only be used once per fight and lasts only three turns. The maximum moves for your pokemon depend on the moves it knew before Dynamaxing, and the maximum moves are, in General, much more powerful than normal moves.

During the Max RAID Battle, opposing Pokemon start in Dynamax form and do not return. Players start in their original form and only one pokemon trainer can Dynamax in battle for three moves. Certain Pokemon can achieve a special form of Dynamax known as Gigantamaxing. Pokemon that can Gigantamax have an appearance different from their normal shape, are larger in size, and have an exclusive Max move called the G-Max Move.

Y-Comm is the Central node for communicating With other pokemon Sword and Shield players. You will be able to exchange pokemon with each other here, whether with friends you know or online with strangers from all over the world. If you want to link battle with friends, whether locally or online, Y-Comm is what you need.

Usually Link Trade allows you to exchange pokemon for something specific that you are looking for. A new feature of Pokémon Sword and Shield is Surprise Trade, where you put up pokémon to trade and randomly pick up someone else, getting completely random, unexpected pokémon. You never know you can finish from here!

Sometimes The y-Comm trading process can take a while to be paired with someone. Fortunately, you can continue the adventure or fight as long as Y-Comm sets you up with someone. Once the transaction is completed, you will receive a notification informing you of it.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
