The Picture Pursuit Event in Disney Dreamlight Valley is a limited-time event. It is a brand-new event and is now live until July 28, 2026. During this new event, strange motifs will appear around the Valley. Players need to find and take pictures of the motifs to complete the corresponding daily quests and earn exclusive rewards. Complete Guide to Picture Pursuit Event in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Picture Pursuit event is all about finding and taking pictures of the strange motifs around the Valley. However, before players can start pursuing the event’s daily quests to find the motifs, they must unlock the corresponding characters. Here are all the characters that players must unlock.

Merlin
Alice
Buzz Lightyear
Cinderella
Mickey
Moana
Peter Pan

All of these characters have a daily quest exclusive to the event, and only 1 daily quest will be available per day. Open the Event tab and select Picture Pursuit to find the active daily quest under the “quests” section. After finding your quest, speak with the corresponding character and find the motifs. Below, you can find the motifs’ locations for all the quests for the Picture Pursuit event.

All Picture Pursuit Daily Quests – Motifs’ Locations

Picture Pursuit: Merlin

The Picture Pursuit: Merlin quest sends you to the Dream Castle to look for the motifs. Here are the locations of all 4 motifs in Dream Castle.

On the left pillar as you enter the Dream Castle.
On the wall beside Mickey’s secret door.
Head up to the third floor, and it will be on the staircase pillar on the right.
On the wall above the Stardust Port.

After taking pictures of all 4 motifs, go back to Merlin to get a Motif bag. Open the Motif bag to get “Walrus Merlin Motif” as a reward.

Picture Pursuit: Alice

The Picture Pursuit: Alice quest sends you to the Alice in Wonderland Realm to look for the motifs. Here are the locations of all 4 motifs in the Alice in Wonderland Realm.

As you enter the realm, go to the left to find the motif behind the flowers.
Go to the right of the lake to find the motif.
On the exit portal at the end of the forest maze.
On the trees before the last turn to the forest maze.

After taking pictures of all 4 motifs, return to Alice to get a Motif bag. Open the Motif bag to get “Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Motif” as a reward.

Picture Pursuit: Buzz

The Picture Pursuit: Buzz quest sends you to the Toy Story Realm to look for the motifs. Here are the locations of all 4 motifs in the Toy Story Realm.

As you enter the realm, go to the right to find it on the shelf.
On the small bookshelf behind the racing track.
On the wall, above the bed.
Go to the closet left of the bed to find the motif.

After taking pictures of all 4 motifs, return to Buzz to get a Motif bag. Open the Motif bag to get “Hamm Motif” as a reward.

Picture Pursuit: Cinderella

The Picture Pursuit: Cinderella quest sends you to the Vitalys Mine in Sunlit Plateau to find the motifs. Here are the locations of all 4 motifs in the Vitalys Mine.

On a crate in the left hallway after entering the mine.
On a crate at the bottom of the ramp, to the right after entering the mine.
Follow the same path to find the motif on two crates next to the mine cart.
On a crate at the end of the tracks.

After taking pictures of all 4 motifs, return to Cinderella to get a Motif bag. Open the Motif bag to get “Gus Motif” as a reward.

Picture Pursuit: Mickey

The Picture Pursuit: Mickey quest sends you to Mickey’s and Goofy’s Houses to find the motifs. Here are the locations of all 4 motifs in Mickey’s House and Goofy’s House.

Mickey’s bed.
On the side of the fridge.
On Goofy’s bed.
Cushion on Goofy’s sofa.

After taking pictures of all 4 motifs, return to Mickey to get a Motif bag. Open the Motif bag to get “Pete Motif” as a reward.

Picture Pursuit: Moana

The Picture Pursuit: Moana quest sends you to the Moana Realm to look for the motifs. Here are the locations of all 4 motifs in the Moana Realm.

Go to the right after entering the realm.
On the soil.
Face the cove to find it on top of the rock.
Face towards the sunset to find it in the rocks.

After taking pictures of all 4 motifs, return to Moana to get a Motif bag. Open the Motif bag to get “Kakamora Motif” as a reward.

Picture Pursuit: Peter Pan

The Picture Pursuit: Peter Pan quest sends you to the Skull Rock to look for the motifs. Here are the locations of all 4 motifs in the Skull Rock.

Go to the underground tunnels to find it on the crate.
On the boxes beside the dock.
Head to the top of the boat to find it on the wall.
On the wall in the last area.

After taking pictures of all motifs, return to Peter Pan to get a Motif bag. Open the Motif bag to get “Slightly Motif” as a reward.

Picture Pursuit Event Duty

There is only one event duty for the Picture Pursuit event in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It is the “Complete Picture Pursuit Quests” duty. To complete this duty, you must complete any 5 Picture Pursuit quests. Once done, you can claim the “Pure Cinema Photo Frame” reward.
