The Ball Gown Betrayal is a Friendship Level 4 quest for Jel in Palia. Kenyatta gives you this quest, as she informs you that she is not happy with her Bahari Bay Ball Gown. You must convince her to wear the dress before things get ugly. In this guide, we will walk you through the Ball Gown Betrayal quest in Palia.

How to Complete the Ball Gown Betrayal Quest in Palia

Starting the quest

Starting the Ball Gown Betrayal quest will require the player to reach Friendship Level 4 with Jel and complete the Fashion Followup quest. Upon reaching Level 4 and completing the prerequisite quest, you will receive a letter from Kenyatta. Read the letter from the mailbox at the housing plot to initiate the Ball Gown Betrayal quest.

Talk to Kenyatta and Jel

After reading Kenyatta’s letter, go and speak with her. She will tell you that there were no Piranha Teeth on the dress. After the conversation, go and see Jel. Ask him about the dress, if he had many changes. Unfortunately, Jel did not make the dress as Kenyatta intended. He will ask you to convince Kenyatta to wear the dress, or no one will ever hire Jel again.

Speak to Kenyatta at the housing plot

After speaking with Jel, go to your housing plot to meet with Kenyatta. Tell her that she needs to wear the dress regardless. She will agree to wear the dress, but only if you agree to play a prank on her mom, Eshe. Agree to the prank to convince Kenyatta to wear the dress.

Get a Spotted Stinkbug

For the prank, you need to get a Spotted Stinkbug. It is a common bug that spawns throughout the day in the northern areas of Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay. A few of the best locations to find a Spotted Stinkbug are the Leafhopper Hills and Maji’s Hollow in Kilima Valley.

Place the stink bug in Eshe’s desk

After catching a Spotted Stinkbug, you need to place it in Eshe’s desk in her office. Go to City Hall and go up to the second floor. Make your way into Eshe’s office and interact with the sparkling spot on her desk to place the bug.

Return to Kenyatta

After placing the bug, leave the City Hall and go back to Kenyatta. Tell her about the prank and go through the dialogues, and the quest will conclude.
