Big Walk: How to Get the Backpack

There are numerous tools in Big Walk to help you throughout your journey on an island. Some tools are essential for navigation, some for communication, and some are for holding more items at a time. One of the most essential tools to find as soon as possible is a Backpack. Having a backpack attached to your back allows you to get rid of holding an item, and you can carry two items at a time. In this guide, we will explain how to get the backpack in Big Walk.

How to Get the Backpack in Big Walk

To get the backpack in Big Walk, it requires 1 rule: always be on the lookout for blue spiral buildings. There are a number of blue spiral buildings spread across the island, and the most effective way to find them is to get on top of the towers and use the binoculars to spot them. The blue spiral buildings in Big Walk act as the supply points, holding backpacks and other crucial tools for your journey.

As there are multiple Blue Spiral Buildings on the island, the very first building where you can find a guaranteed backpack is right after crossing the Red Drawbridge. The Red Drawbridge is the first main puzzle, after which you get to access the whole island. Once you are across the bridge, head towards the Red Tower; you cannot miss it.

Go to the top of the Red Tower to find the Binoculars. These will help you spot all the crucial POIs in the surroundings. Look through the binoculars towards the bridge, and then slowly move to the left to spot the blue spiral building. It is close to the Red Tower. After spotting it, head down the tower and make your way to the building. If you are finding it difficult, you can have one of the players in the party guide you to it from the tower.

Once there, you will see a yellow carrier in the middle of the structure. This is the backpack in Big Walk. Unlike other games, you cannot put it on yourself. You must ask another player to put it on your character’s back for you to wear it, or vice versa.

How the Backpack Works in Big Walk

The backpack only stores 1 item, which can be a tool for your journey or puzzle items. However, putting the backpack on or accessing the stored item in it requires the help of another player. You cannot put it on or access items solely, and that is what Big Walk is about: a co-operative experience. Although it might seem irritating at first, having a backpack for all of your group makes the journey relaxing, as your group can then carry more tools/items.

Another thing that is worth mentioning is that once you get your first backpack, you will unlock the Big Pack achievement. This achievement does not require you to find all Backpacks on the island, but one.
