Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Complete the Shadow Play Quest

The Shadow Play is the second Friendship Quest for Mulan in Disney Dreamlight Valley that players will get to pursue upon reaching Friendship Level 4 with her. This guide will walk you through the Shadow Play quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete the Shadow Play Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Starting the Quest

Initiating the Shadow Play quest will require you to first unlock it by completing the A Daily Regime quest and reaching Friendship Level 4 with Mulan. Once the quest is available in the Quests Tab, track it to make it an active quest, and then speak with Mulan to initiate the quest.

Gather the Materials for the Shadow Theater

After starting the quest by speaking with Mulan, gather the following ingredients for the Shadow Theater.

• 2x Tinkering Parts – Crafted at the Crafting Station with Iron Ingot.
• 5x Rope – Crafted at the Crafting Station with Fiber.
• 6x Hardwood – Found under the trees in the Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and the Frosted Heights biomes.
• 12x Softwood – Found under the trees in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust biomes.

After gathering the materials, go over to Minnie and speak with her. Once done, bring all of the materials to Mulan.

Speak with Mushu and Merlin

After giving all the materials to Mulan, open the map to find Mushu and then go over to him to speak with him. Go over the dialogues and then go over to Merlin and speak with him.

Gather the Materials and Craft the Empty Draconic Garnet

After speaking with Merlin, you need to gather the following materials for Empty Draconic Garnet.

• 1x Shiny Garnet – Found by mining the nodes in the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow biomes.
• 4x Dream Shard – Obtained by digging the sparkling spots, feeding critters their favorite food, and removing Night Thorns.
• 12x Coal – Found by mining the nodes.

Once you have gathered all the required materials, go over to the Crafting Station to craft the Empty Draconic Garnet. You can find its recipe under the Potion & Enhancement tab of the crafting station.

Bring the Empty Draconic Garnet to Mushu

After crafting the Empty Draconic Garnet, bring it to Mushu and he will light it up and give it to you back. Now, give the Draconic Garnet to Mulan and she will give you the Shadow Theater.

Place the Shadow Theater

Now, open the Furniture Menu and navigate to the Requests section to find the Shadow Theater. Select it and place it anywhere in the Valley. Take a picture with everybody at the Shadow Theater and then speak with Mulan to conclude the quest.

Completing the Shadow Theater quest will give the following rewards to the players.
