Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Get Barley

Storybook Vale DLC offers multiple new biomes from which players can get new ingredient items. Players need these new ingredients to cook new meals and complete various new quests. Barley is one of the new grain-type ingredients in the Storybook Vale expansion of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Players can consume Barley to regenerate energy or can feed it to Owls to befriend them. How to Get Barley in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Barley is obtained by harvesting the matured Barley seeds which you can purchase from Goofy’s Stall in The Bind biome of Storybook Vale. Storybook Vale is a New World exclusive for the Storybook Vale expansion, meaning players will first have to buy the Storybook Vale expansion to get the Barley.

Once players have access to the Storybook Vale, they need to progress in the main Expansion Quests to unlock The Bind during A New Chapter quest for Merida. It will allow players to access the Bind where they will be able to buy the Barley Seeds from Goofy’s Stall.

However, before players buy the seeds, they will have to fix Goofy’s Stall. Moreover, players will have to get the first upgrade of the stall to unlock Barley seeds which will cost 3,000 Star Coins. Upon unlocking the Barley Seeds at Goofy’s Stall, it will cost 15 Star Coins per seed and it will take 15 minutes for each seed to mature and turn into a Barley. Using the Elixir on the Watering Can will grow the Barley instantly.

Uses of Barley in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The selling price for 1 Barley is 15 Star Coins and you can grow them in large batches. It is one of the favorite food items for Owls and if you want to befriend an owl, you might have to hold some of it in your inventory to feed them. Moreover, you can consume Barley to regenerate 19 Energy. Lastly, you can use it for various new meals.
