Disney Dreamlight Valley Season of Scares Update Releases on September 23

Disney Dreamlight Valley has revealed its upcoming free update, Season of Scares. It includes a new character, a new Star Path, new premium shop items, and more. The devs have recently showcased a Developer Update on their socials, giving a peek at what is coming with the Season of Scares Update along with its release date. Disney Dreamlight Valley Season of Scares Update – Features

Oogie Boogie Arrives in the Valley

This new update brings the long-awaited Oogie Boogie from Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas to the Valley. For the first time in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players will have to pursue and complete 6 weeks of Oogie Boogie’s challenges to welcome him to the Valley. Unlike former characters that have been a part of the free updates, players cannot unlock Oogie Boogie simply by completing quests. They must participate in Oogie Boogie’s challenges that will run from September 23 to November 4. To pursue these challenges, players must step into Oogie Boogie’s lair by investigating a strange mirror inside Scrooge McDuck’s shop.

NOTE: Oogie Boogie will only be available until November 4, 2026. If a player does not start Oogie Boogie’s challenges before November 4, they will have to wait until next year.

Make sure to at least start the challenges before November 4. After that, you can complete the challenges at your own pace and welcome Oogie Boogie.

Friendship Quests and Exclusive Rewards

Another twist for friendship quests and exclusive rewards from Oogie Boogie is that they are part of the challenges. The challenges are the friendship quests, and you earn exclusive friendship rewards from completing them. Moreover, during one of the week’s challenges, players will unlock Zero as a companion.

New Star Path

Pop City Star Path is ending today. We will get to see a brand-new Star Path with the Season of Scares update tomorrow. The new upcoming Star Path is Haunting Elegance Star Path, offering trick-or-treat and bewitching attire, and dark, whimsical furniture pieces to shape the Valley.

Moreover, there is a new Introductory Star Path: The Astronomer’s Journey. New players can progress this Star Path after unlocking their first realm. As players complete quests, they will unlock astronomy-based rewards.

Returning and New Events

Last but not least, there will be two returning events in Disney Dreamlight Valley. From October 7th to October 31st, the Haunted Floating Festival begins, allowing players to complete puzzles and earn exclusive rewards. On October 14th, the Trick or Treat event will take place, allowing players to collect candy, complete duties, and earn exclusive rewards. This year’s Trick or Treat event will include new ways to collect candy and new rewards. The Trick or Treat event will run until October 31^st.

In addition to the new events, there is a new Event Board feature. Players can place the Event Board in the Valley to track up to three live events without looking up in the menu for details.
