Dragon's Dogma 2 is in development and is based on the RE Engine

The sequel to the fantasy RPG Dragon’s Dogma does exist and is based on the engine that underlies Resident Evil: Village.

After a recent hacker attack on Capcom’s servers, which revealed a significant amount of information about the company’s developments, including Dragon’s Dogma 2, a well-known insider confirmed that most of the Japanese giant’s new projects will use RE Engine technology as a game engine.

In addition to all the latest installments of the main Resident Evil series (7, 2, 3, and Village), the action games Devil May Cry 5 and Monster Hunter: Rise is also based on the RE Engine.

Although the insider has proved to be a reliable source in the past, we advise you to take the following information with due precautions, since at the moment it is simple rumors and Capcom has not expressed itself officially on the subject. According to the leak of recent months, Dragon’s Dogma 2 should release (hypothetically on consoles and PC) in 2022.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
