Dune Spice Wars: How To Build Refinery

Dune Spice Wars is a 4x real-time strategy-based game. This game has a lot of mechanics that confuse players and they don’t know how to proceed ahead in the game. One of the main items in this game is Spice, it is the most important resource in the game and players have to get it as much as they can from the beginning. Because spice is what you have to pay as a tax in the game and if you don’t pay your taxes then things will become difficult for you. Well, there is an option in the game to make a refinery from which you can get more spice and pay your taxes in time.

In this guide, we will tell you about how can you make a refinery in the game and how to make use of it.

How to Build a Refinery

Spice locations are marked on the map with the purple material symbol. You can see them from the right start of the game. What you want to do is send an ornithopter towards the spice field icon. There will also be a village near the spice field area and your ornithopter should be able to reveal the village to you. Now what you want to do after that is that you want to take control of the village. You can also check their defenses by hovering the mouse on the marker of village. Most of the villages in the early game don’t have many defenses rather then their own militia.

After defeating their militia with your units, now you want to make a refinery on the land of the village. You’ll see in the bottom left corner that there are some slots for adding militia and buildings. From these slots, you can add units or make buildings in the village to improve it. To make a refinery follow the following steps.

• Click on the building slot.
• There’ll be three types of buildings that you can add: Economy, Military, and Statecraft.
• Choose the first option in the Economy section. It will be the Refinery.
• Place the refinery building in the village area and wait for its construction to be complete.

Use the Harvesters

When the refinery building is completed, you can deploy harvesters from it to the spice field and they will collect spice and return it to the refinery building. You have to deploy them manually from the right side of your screen in the harvesters tab. You can deploy them from there. These harvesters make very noise which can lead to sandworms attacks and for that, you have to ON the auto recall option from the bottom left side of your screen. But doing this will decrease spice yield by 5%. But if your harvester gets destroyed by the sandworm then that will cost you more.
