error on nintendo switch update

On June 8, Nintendo withdrew the 12.0.3 update for Switch due to technical issues.

Users who managed to install the firmware started complaining from the first day that it caused problems with connecting to the network and downloading games. Nine days after the unsuccessful update, some Switch owners continue to face issues, which they report on social media and forums.

  • The main complaint of users is that when downloading games or updates for them, an error with the number 2123-1502 occurs.
  • Nintendo Support is aware of the issue and provides general troubleshooting solutions to users on the console, but these only work temporarily.
  • The Switch owners who faced the problem have found a way to fix errors 2123-1502. To do this, you need to change the DNS settings, specifying the public Google servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, and then clear the cache. Also, the change of DNS to the OpenDNS Internet service servers is triggered: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.
  • Nintendo resumed the distribution of firmware 12.0.3 on Wednesday, June 9th. But from the looks of it, the company was unable to troubleshoot for all users.
