Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout delayed for Nintendo Switch and confirms cross-play with Xbox

Earlier today we got to know an updated release window for one of the most anticipated games for Nintendo Switch players. In this case, we’re talking about Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, confirmed a while ago for the hybrid console.

Recently, it has been shared that this game has been delayed: instead of summer 2021, we now only know that it will arrive in 2021. So fans will have to wait a little longer to get it on Nintendo Switch, although we also learned today that it will be cross-playable with Xbox.

From day one, we had the illusion of making Fall Guys the most amazing game possible, and we have always worked in that direction. We bring a lot of news and have felt for some time that we could take our beans to another level. Unfortunately, it has not been possible… yet! At the top of our list was the cross-platform game implementation.

As you probably already know, Mediatonic recently became part of the Epic Games family. This is something that makes us very excited, since the team is now lucky enough to have new tools and help to improve the experience of all players, from the most veteran of the Dome of the Stumble to those who begin to give their first steps or stumbles, regardless of the platform they play on.

Updates on launching on Xbox, Switch, and cross-platform play!

With a new future full of opportunities, we have realized that the goal we set ourselves to launch the game on Xbox and Switch in 2021 is unfortunately not feasible. It is too early to release all the new features we are working on.

While it is true that we want to launch the game on these platforms as soon as possible, we also know that it is worth waiting a little longer, and we thank you very much for your patience. This launch delay will give us more time for our team to implement new functionality, such as cross-platform compatibility so that players can play and enjoy with their friends regardless of which platform they play on.

What can you expect from Fall Guys?

Our team continues to grow to live up to the expectations of the community and to develop high-quality content. The main core of the team remains the same as ever. Fall Guys will continue to offer additional content each season: new game modes, costumes and rounds, as well as more that you already know and that we know you love.

Right now we cannot give any release date, but we are still here and we will give you information about the update as soon as we can.
