How long will Animal Crossing: New Horizons last?

Every game comes to an end, and for titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons this will happen the moment it stops receiving updates with relevant content.

Well, this popular Nintendo Switch title has received multiple updates since its launch over a year ago and is expected to continue to receive updates throughout 2021. However, there will be some point where Nintendo will have to innovate and introduce huge new features so that current players don’t end up abandoning the game over time due to repetitive content.

One idea that would undoubtedly excite fans would be to add some kind of expansion to the currently small island, or perhaps add a secondary island with new mechanics and options to revitalize an incredibly successful game.

If this is not the case, and if there are no exciting new additions, it is very likely that the number of players will decrease considerably year after year, and therefore we will have no choice but to wait for a new game in the series for the Japanese company’s next console.
