Sony could be working on a voice-controlled PlayStation controller

Did you know that you can play on PC and Nintendo Switch with a PS5 DualSense controller? We tell you how to configure it for these platforms in the following guide.

It has recently been discovered that the PlayStation 5 controller can be used to enjoy games on PCs and, surprisingly, on Nintendo Switch as well. DualSense can be used as a peripheral on these platforms, but if you don’t know how to do it, now that the new controller is on sale, here we will tell you to step by step how to achieve it.

The process for using it in both is not necessarily very complicated to figure out, but to give you a better idea we leave you with the key steps that will remove most of the doubt.

How to use Dualsense on PC and Nintendo Switch: step by step to set up the PS5 controller

How to configure the DualSense control on PC

The process is very similar to that required by the DualShock 4 of PS4. This can be done in two ways: connecting the DualSense to the PC with a USB type C or via Bluetooth 5.1. The first thing you have to do is pair up the controller. To do this you must turn it off and hold down the PlayStation button and the Create button. DualSense will emit blue light and you must go to the Bluetooth tab on your Windows PC to select the pairing of the controller by choosing the option “Add device”.

Another way is to use Steam. In the Big Picture Mode menu, go to “Settings” and then “Remote Control Settings”. You can then remap the buttons on the DualSense controller, even though the Xbox 360 controller is displayed generically. Once the DualSense controller is configured and PlayStation Configuration Support is enabled, you should be able to play any game that supports the PlayStation button design. At first, the Touchpad is not supported in Steam, but with the Guide button, you can make this button work.

How to set up the DualSense controller in the Nintendo Switch

It may seem strange, but the Nintendo Switch also allows you to play your titles with a DualSense. It’s not a default option by any means, but a small device has made it a reality to consider if you’re going to have both a PS5 and Nintendo’s hybrid system.

The 8bitDo adapter is a small USB device that makes a large number of wireless controllers compatible. One of them is the DualsSense, with which you can play the great games in the Switch catalog. Although it is a curiosity, this case really works.

So, if you already have a PS5 or if you’re thinking of getting your hands on the next-generation console, know that its revolutionary DualSense controller not only allows you to enjoy a new level of immersion but also serves to play on PC and Nintendo Switch.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
