Life is Strange Remastered Collection delayed to 2022; True Colors will be released on its date … with DLC
Life is Strange Remastered Collection is delayed to early 2022 on all platforms, but True Colors will be out on its date … with a DLC shortly after.
The bad news for Life is Strange fans. This September there was to be a double release, with the sequel Life is Strange True Colors and the remastered collection of the first two Life is Strange (including Before the Storm). But finally, only True Colors will arrive in time, because the remastering is a few months away, at the beginning of 2022 on all platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia).
Life is Strange True Colors will continue to come out on September 10, and a DLC will arrive shortly after, Life is Strange Wavelengths, starring Steph Gingrich, on September 30. For this first DLC, they promise to release a trailer soon.
Life is Strange Remastered Collection’s delay is due to the “current challenges of the global pandemic”, and its decision to ease additional pressure on the team by allowing more time between the release of the two games.
Life is Strange Remastered was due out on September 30, although the Nintendo Switch version was expected later. With this delay, perhaps it will come out at the same time as all the versions, on some date to be determined in 2022. On the other hand, Life is Strange True Colors will be released at the same time on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch, on September 10, 2021.
If you had Life is Strange True Colors Ultimate Edition reserved, you will continue to have access to the two remastered Life is Strange games.
The decision to prioritize the release of the sequel before the remastering shows Square Enix’s confidence in this game, which has been developed by Deck Nine Games and DONTNOD Entertainment.
True Colors tells the story of Alex Chen, a 21-year-old girl who moves to an idyllic town surrounded by lakes and forests where she will have to learn to control her gift: she can read people’s “empathy”, that is, read their emotions and your thoughts.
