Zelda is one of the most popular and appreciated video game franchises with an incredibly rich universe, it is not surprising that the demand for a brand new Legend of Zelda animated series is strong. Will a Zelda series soon arrive on Netflix?

This is the latest rumor about a Netflix Zelda series

The Legend of Zelda is a video game franchise developed by Nintendo. More than three decades have passed since the release of the first game, Legend of Zelda on NES. Three decades have passed since the release of the original animated series and although the music is fantastic, the less is said about the series, the better.

Rumours of a brand new series have been around for years and, at least for the foreseeable future, this may still be the case.

Indeed, the IMDb page of a supposed Legend of Zelda series remains the greatest proof of a potential series. According to IMDb Pro, the series The Legend of Zelda is being filmed. Nintendo is the production company behind the series with Netflix as a distributor.

One of the many concerns is that the image used by IMDb is made by a fan and is not official.

What would the animated series Zelda look like?

• Season 1 being based on “the Ocarina of time” and “Majora’s Mask”.
  
• Season 2 will be based on “Link to the Past”, “Link’s Awakening”, etc.
  
• Season 3 will be based on “Wind Waker”, “Phantom Hourglass”.

A topic of great debate is what will the animated series look like? With different graphics and artistic styles used over the decades, there is a wide variety of choices.

Alongside the rumours, the style was also widespread. The animation of the first season would be very similar to that of Netflix’s Castlevania animation.

The second season would apparently include an artistic style very close to Ralph Bakshi. Bakshi’s most famous work is the realization of the Lord of the Rings animated in 1978.

The third season should have a style in the universe of Studio Ghibli.
