New Confirmed Characters in Upcoming Disney Dreamlight Valley Update

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Summer 2025 update is a few weeks away from launching. With all the recent tweets and the Roadmap 2025, the players know that the next update will include characters/emotions from the movie Inside Out World. The social team of DDV has been active for a few days, giving out hints on the emotions that players can expect in the new update. Yesterday, the team made a post, confirming the two emotions out of five that will be coming in the Summer 2025 update.

Two new confirmed characters in the upcoming Disney Dreamlight Valley update

The recent post about the new update shows the shadow imagery of two emotions. If someone is familiar with the movie Inside Out, they will instantly know that it is Joy and Sadness. Both Joy and Sadness characters are confirmed for the next free update of Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Before this post yesterday, the team was kind of emphasizing that maybe all five emotions (characters) will arrive in the new update. However, it might be a possibility that all five emotions arrive in the update, but the fans think that Joy and Sadness are a perfect duo for the story. Maybe, there will be a questline through which players will be able to bring the other three emotions as well to the Valley.  The Devs also shared an image of five beds, one for each emotion. It does not confirm that all emotions will come in the update, but the beds can be a new décor item for players.

After the recent post, a lot of fans were expecting one thing from the Devs, and that is the Light Aura of Joy character. The Joy character has a Light Aura around her in the movies, and players really want the Devs to bring it to the game. Let’s see if Joy brings her Aura to the Valley or not in the new update.

The name and the release date for the new update are unknown at this point. However, many players in the community believe that the new update might launch on August 13, 2025, or a few days afterward.
