Oscar Isaac will play Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid film produced by Sony

Solid Snake already has someone to give it life. The actor Oscar Isaac will play the character of Hideo Kojima in the Sony Metal Gear Solid film.

After the delay of its shooting and the lack of new news related to the Metal Gear Solid film, it seems that finally more information about this awaited premiere is coming to us and that is that we already have, nothing more and nothing less, than the actor who will give life to Solid Snake.

The Metal Gear Solid film now has its main protagonist. Solid Snake will be brought to the big screen by Oscar Isaac, a renowned actor that we have already seen in a number of world-class productions such as the recent Star Wars trilogy, Agora or the long-awaited Dune.

The Deadline media has announced the bombing a few minutes ago and it seems that the rumors that announced Isaac was one of the most talked-about candidates to play the legendary character have become true.

The Metal Gear Solid film is currently in development by Sony Pictures, although there are no production dates yet. The film will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island) and written by Derek Connolly whose work we have seen in Kong: Skull Island, Detective Pikachu, and Jurassic World.

Of course, the Metal Gear Solid film will focus on Hideo Kojima’s now-legendary game released in 1987 for PlayStation under the same name. We will keep an eye on the news about this production and the actor’s reaction to it, which is expected to be one of the major adaptations related to the video game industry in the coming years.

At the beginning of the summer, the director of the Metal Gear Solid film talks about the problems that are delaying the shooting and shares spectacular conceptual designs.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
