Palia: A Stitch in Time Quest Guide

A Stitch in Time is the main story quest for Eshelon in Palia. It is the third main story quest for the Royal Highlands expansion, and begins automatically after completing the “Administrative Access” quest. This quest will require you to work with Eshelon to find one of the override keys for the palace. Eshelon will take you to a lab, where you have to solve a puzzle and open the vault. In this guide, we will walk you through the A Stitch in Time quest in Palia.

How to Complete the A Stitch in Time Quest in Palia

Eshelon has moved to the southwest of the Highlands in the Standing Cliffs. Make your way to the Standing Cliffs to meet with Eshelon. Once there, speak with Eshelon and go through the dialogues.

Investigate the area for clues

After speaking with Eshelon, you need to search the area for some clues. Go to the center of the Standing Cliffs to spot some giant tubes. Go through the tube to spot some Black Feathers on the ground. Pick up the Black Feathers and go back to Eshelon. Eshelon will ask you to follow him to the location of the first override key.

Find the entrance to Eloine’s lab

Head to the east side of the Standing Cliffs to go up the hill. Follow Eshelon to the top and speak with him. At the end of the conversation, you will get Eloine Enfield’s Key. Now, head inside the structure and interact with the hatch door on the ground to enter Eloine’s lab. Once inside, speak with Eshelon to get a note. The note will mention three buttons.

Press the Three Buttons in the Lab

After reading the note, look around the room to find the three buttons. All of the buttons will be inside the Amber crystal. Equip the Pick tool and use it to break the Amber crystal. Now, press all three buttons to open the door. After unlocking the door, speak with Eshelon again.

Look for clues in Eloine’s lab

As you enter the next room, you need to find some clues on how to open the lab’s vault. The three things you need to interact with are as follows.

• Vault Unlocking Attempts
• Vault Access Note
• Flow Extractor Note

After reading all the clues in the notes, tell them to Eshelon. At the end of the conversation, Eshelon will give you the Masked Creature Tracker.

Obtain an Aeroflow Mask

After speaking with Eshelon, open the inventory and activate the Masked Creature Tracker. Leave the lab, and the tracker will start showing you any nearby creatures. Follow the hunting markers on the compass to track down the creatures and hunt them with the bow. Keep hunting the creatures until you get the Aeroflow Mask.

Open Eloine’s vault

Now, go back to Eloine’s lab with the Aeroflow Mask. Go to the back room and interact with the chest to contribute the Aeroflow Mask. This will unlock the vault and give you the following items.

• Eloine’s Blessing
• Note on Eloine’s Relic

After unlocking the vault, speak with Eshelon to tell him about the first key. At the end of the conversation, Eshelon will give you the Echo Extractor, which you can use to collect Amber Echo.

Collect Amber Echo and 5 Bugs from the Highlands

Leave Eloine’s lab and start your search to collect 100 Amber Echo and catch any 5 bugs from the Highlands.

NOTE: If you have already caught 5 bugs at this point, you will not have to catch them again.

To collect Amber Echo, hunt down creatures, mine the nodes, or cut down the trees trapped in Amber crystal. As you forage the loot from the ground from any of these sources, you will collect Amber Echo.

Bring items to Eshelon

Now, go back to Eloine’s lab and give Eshelon all the items to charge Eloine’s Blessing. Go through the dialogues, and the quest will conclude. Moreover, it will initiate the “Somewhere That’s Green” quest automatically.

Completing the A Stitch in Time quest in Palia gives the following rewards.
