Palia’s Sunkissed Summer: Bahari Bliss update is here, and it is bringing various new features, including new content for all players. The main highlight of this update is the new dynamic event, Crab Wars. Similar to other dynamic events like Piksii Blossom in Elderwood, Flow-Infused Trees in Bahari Bay, and the Flower Bloom in Kilima Valley, the Crab Wars event is exclusive to Royal Highlands. In this guide, we will walk you through the Crab Wars Event in Palia.

Time and Place of Crab Wars Event in Palia

The Crab Wars event takes place only in Royal Highlands once per day at 7 AM (in-game) time. The event specifically takes place on Enfield Shores, spawning the crabs and frogs across the beach for players to catch.

How to find the Crab Wars Event location

You can find the Crab Wars event at Enfield Shores, on the southern side of the Royal Highlands. Moreover, there is also an introductory quest to the Crab Wars event. If you have met Binnie in the Royal Highlands, you can speak with Elouise to initiate the “Crab Wars” quest. This quest will direct you to the event and give you more insight into the event.

How to Participate in the Crab Wars Event

All players, returning and new, can participate in the Crab Wars event as long as they have access to the Royal Highlands adventure zone. Moreover, the event does not necessarily require a party of players. Players can join this event Solo and with friends.

What to Do at Crab Wars Event

As the name suggests, the event is all about catching the Frogs or Crabs. However, you and other players have to make up your mind in choosing one side. If you want to be on King Hoppington’s (Frogs) side, you must catch as many crabs as possible. Similarly, if you want to be on General Crabjorn Snips’s (Crab) side, catch as many frogs as possible.

The crab battle goes on for 4 real-life minutes. During this time, both of the teams have to catch as many corresponding insects as possible. Both the frogs and the crabs have different rarities. Catching a high-rarity insect will grant more points for the team. As the time ends, a chest will appear in the event area, providing the types of rewards depending on the winning side.

Rewards of the Crab Wars Event

There are 17 reward items in total, all of which can be obtained from the Spoils of War Chest at the end of the battle. These rewards include décor items, tints, and recipes. However, the players would have to participate often and switch sides to get all of the rewards. Moreover, each insect type rewards the player with a currency. Catching crabs will award players with Amber Echo (if they have the Echo Tracker from the main story), and catching frogs will award players with Gold.

NOTE: The players who don’t have Echo Tracker will get Gold by catching Crabs.

The event itself does not take too long to complete, and since it begins every in-game day, you will be back at the event in an hour. To get all of the special rewards, you must participate in the event often.
