Hair of the Beast is a new Friendship Quest for Taylin in Palia. Taylin is one of the new characters that players unlock after completing the Cat’s in the Cradle quest. However, to pursue her new friendship quests, players must complete Chapter 3 of the main story. After completing the story, players can check back with Taylin and increase their friendship level with her. Hair of the Beast is the first friendship quest for Taylin, requiring you to gather a list of ingredients. In this guide, we will walk you through the Hair of the Beast quest in Palia.

How to Complete the Hair of the Beast Quest in Palia

Starting the Quest

Hair of the Beast quest becomes available upon reaching Friendship Level 1: Taylin’s Savior with Taylin. To earn the friendship points for Taylin, speak with her daily (in-game) and gift her favorite items. After reaching Friendship Level 1, a new quest will unlock for her. Go over to Taylin and speak with her to initiate the quest.

Gather the ingredients for Taylin

While speaking to Taylin, she will hand you a list of ingredients that she needs for a remedy. Here are all the items you need to collect for Taylin.

1x Royal Wisteria: An epic bright purple flower that only grows in the Royal Highlands adventure zone. Search the Standing Cliffs, Lonely Glen, Amber Lake, Royal Hunting Grounds, Old Fortuna, and Steps of Renova areas to have a better chance of finding one.
1x Shadvaraak Beetle: An epic purple bug that only spawns in the Royal Highlands adventure zone. Search the Standing Cliffs, Lonely Glen, Amber Lake, Royal Hunting Grounds, Old Fortuna, Steps of Renova, and Mudan’s Wall areas to find one. Use the Smoke Bombs to catch it.
1x Dart Eel: An epic fish that only spawns in the rivers and ponds in the Royal Highlands adventure zone at night (9 PM to 3 AM). Fish in the Kestra River or Amber Lake using the Glow Worm bait to have a chance of catching it.

Return to Taylin

After gathering all the ingredients, go back to Taylin. Speak with her to give her the ingredients and go through the dialogue. As the conversation ends, the quest will conclude.
