Palia: How to Unlock Sawmill

There are various Crafters in Palia that are used to refine materials. The refined Materials are used for advanced recipes that will help players craft new structures or items for their playthrough. One of the earliest crafters that players will get to unlock is Basic Sawmill. Like most of the tools, the Crafters also have a level and the common level of Sawmill is Basic Sawmill.

How to Unlock Sawmill in Palia

Sawmill is unlocked at the Second Level of Foraging Activity. Players will have to do foraging in the Plot area by picking up items that they found either in an open area or by cutting down trees or mining the rocks. With each forage, players will gain experience which will increase the forage activity experience. By reaching the threshold of the first level, players will level up the Forage Activity and unlock the basic Sawmill recipe over at Ashura.

Ashura is the leader of the Foraging Guild and players can find him in Kimila Village. Upon reaching level 2 in Foraging Activity, Ashura will provide players with the Basic Sawmill recipe for 100 Gold. Make sure to earn gold by selling unnecessary items to Zeki or in Shipping Bin. Once players have the required amount of Gold, they will be able to buy the recipe from Ashura and then craft it over at the Worktable.

How to Craft Basic Sawmill

Upon getting the Basic Sawmill Recipe from Ashura at Level 2 of Foraging, players need to go to the Worktable and select the Crafters tab. Select the Basic Sawmill recipe to craft which will require the following resources.

• 40x Sapwood
• 12x Flint
• 20x Plant Fiber

Players can get the Sapwood by cutting down small trees and Plant Fiber by cutting down bushes with the Axe tool. To get the Flint, players will have to mine the rocks with the Pickaxe tool. Once players have all the required resources, they will be able to craft the Basic Sawmill.

After crafting the basic Sawmill, players need to place it down somewhere in the Plot Area. By interacting with the Basic Sawmill, players will be able to turn the Sapwood into Planks which then can be used for several other recipes.
