Palia: The Flames of Ambition Quest Guide

The Flames of Ambition is a main story quest for Subira in Palia. It is the seventh main story quest in the Royal Highlands expansion, which begins automatically after completing the “Cat’s in the Cradle” quest. Now that the Beast is out of the way, you can finally head inside Enfield’s lab to collect the final key for the Palace. In this guide, we will walk you through the Flames of Ambition quest in Palia.

How to Complete the Flames of Ambition Quest in Palia

As the quest begins, interact with the hatch door underneath the giant tree in the center of the maze to enter Amadeus’ lab. Once inside, speak with Eshelon, Subira, and Tamala.

Unlock the door inside Amadeus’ lab

Unlocking the door inside Amadeus’ lab will require you to light up the four braziers in the correct order. The correct order of the braziers is marked on the lab’s ceiling. Look up at the ceiling for the order of the braziers, starting from the left side. Stand in the middle of the room while facing the door and shoot the braziers in the following order.

• Up Right > Up Left > Down Right > Down Left

Lighting the braziers in the correct order will unlock the vault door. Head inside the vault door and speak with Eshelon. He will ask you to obtain a Pyroflow Mask to open the vault.

Obtain a Pyroflow Mask

Leave Amadeus’ lab and hunt for creatures with an orange mask. There will be several Jaakcats roaming in the area. Look for the ones with an orange mask and hunt them. It might take you hunting a few Jaakcats before one of them drops the Pyroflow Mask.

Unlock Amadeus’ vault

After getting the Pyroflow Mask, head back to Amadeus’ lab. Go to the vault room and interact with the vault to contribute the Pyroflow Mask and unlock Amadeus’ Vault. Upon unlocking the vault, you will get the following items.

• Amadeus’ Blessing
• Note in a Vault

Now, speak with Eshelon to tell him about the blessing. He will ask you to collect some Amber Echo and some cooked food at a campfire.

Collect Amber Echo and Cook 5 Campfire Food

Leave Amadeus’ lab and start your search to collect 100 Amber Echo and cook any food at the campfire.

NOTE: You can cook any food recipe available at the campfire.

To collect Amber Echo, hunt down creatures, mine the nodes, or cut down the trees trapped in Amber crystal. As you forage the loot from the ground from any of these sources, you will collect Amber Echo.

Return to Subira

After collecting the Amber Echo and cooking the campfire food, head back to Amadeus’ lab. Speak with Subira and charge Amadeus’ Blessing. Go through the dialogues, and the quest will conclude. Moreover, it will initiate the “Lion and the Lamb” quest.
