Parental Dispute Quest – Palia

Parental Dispute is one of the new General Quests in Palia. It is a quest for Einar, asking you for help to solve the dispute he has with Hekla over how to raise Gil’s Young. You must make a choice and recruit a corresponding fish to become Gil’s teacher. This guide will walk you through the Parental Dispute quest in Palia.

How to Complete the Parental Dispute Quest in Palia

Starting the quest

Einar will visit you on your Housing Plot with a quest marker on his head. Speak with Einar to learn about the dispute, which will trigger the Parental Dispute quest.

Speak with Hekla and Return to Einar

Upon initiating the quest, find Hekla and speak with her about the parenting situation. Go through the dialogues to learn more about the situation. After speaking with Hekla, go back to Einar and speak with him. At the end of the conversation, Einar will ask you if there is something more fish-appropriate to teach the Gil.

Here, you will have four choices. Each choice represents a certain fish that you need to bring to Einar to be Gil’s teacher.

• Survival Skills (Green Earth Symbol): Eleroo Eel
• Emotional Intelligence (Blue Water Symbol): Angelfish
• Sports (Brown Fire Symbol): Devilfish
• The Fandango (Yellow Air Symbol): Midnight Floatfish

Whichever choice you make, you have to catch and bring the corresponding fish to Einar. Here is a brief solution that allows you to find every fish.

Eleroo Eel

Players can find Eleroo Eel in the Elderwood saltwater rivers during Morning (3 AM – 6 AM) and Night (9 PM – 3 AM) in the Elderwood map region. One of the best fishing spots to find Eleroo Eel is the De Mer Dock on the western side of Elderwood. Moreover, the coastal area of the Fallen Aqueduct is also a great spot to find Eleroo Eel. Lastly, the important thing is to use the Glow Worm bait to catch the Eleroo Eel.

Angelfish

Players can find Angelfish in the Elderwood freshwater rivers and ponds during morning (3 AM to 6 AM) in the Elderwood map region. One of the best fishing spots to find Angelfish is the Mitana Grove on the northeast side of Elderwood. Moreover, the ponds within the cavern areas, like Central Stables and Red Blossom Cave, are also great spots to find Angelfish. Lastly, the important thing is to use the Glow Worm bait to catch the Angelfish.

Devilfish

Players can find Devilfish in the Elderwood freshwater rivers and ponds during morning (3 AM to 6 AM) and evening (6 PM to 9 PM) in the Elderwood map region. One of the best fishing spots to find Devilfish is the Mitana Grove on the northeast side of Elderwood. Moreover, the bay area of the Fallen Aqueduct is also a great spot to find Midnight Floatfish. Lastly, the important thing is to use the Worm bait to catch the Midnight Floatfish.

Return to Einar

After catching the fish respective to your choice, go back to Einar. Give him the fish and go through the dialogues, and the Parental Dispute quest will conclude.
