PlayStation 5 Stock is Selling Out Rapidly in China, Mainly Due to Success and Popularity of Black Myth: Wukong

Black Myth: Wukong had the biggest launch of the year in Gaming, breaking several records of having the most concurrent players for a single-player video game on Steam and recently selling over 10 million copies with 3 million concurrent players combined on all platforms.

With its huge success all over the world, it seems that the game made a huge impact in China, provoking players to purchase PlayStation 5 left and right to join in the hype for themselves. According to Daniel Camilo, he made a tweet on X explaining the increase in sales of PS5.

“At Huaqiangbei in Shenzhen (world’s largest electronic market), it is now clear that sales are extraordinarily high, driven by Wukong.”

Moreover, he also explained that the data from Huaqiangbei electronics market in Shenzhen shows that the PS5 stock in China is almost sold out and most of it was sold in bundles with Black Myth: Wukong on the game’s launch date, August 20, 2024.

Black Myth: Wukong is now available on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam and Epic Games) with the Xbox Series X|S version slated for a later release.
