Reports indicate that Nintendo would announce an official price drop for Switch next week

An interesting report has reached us regarding the official price at which Nintendo Switch has been sold since its launch. It appears that Nintendo may announce an official price cut imminently.

The information originally comes from France, where some retailers appear to have received notification of an official price cut for the console from Monday 13 September. This would leave the European price cut as follows:

• From €330 it would drop to €270 in Europe

On the other hand, reports related to America have also been shared, where the console would also lower the price in the same proportion as of this Monday:

• From $299 it would drop to $249 in America

For now, there is nothing confirmed and we will have to be attentive to see if Nintendo confirms this price reduction officially. With the OLED model coming next October, it would make sense for the original model to drop in price for the first time since 2017.
