Cloth is one of the most essential resources in Solarpunk, especially in the early game. From the moment you place down your first workbench and begin to build the initial base, you will realize that you need cloth for various crucial items, including the Research Table. The Research Table is the main source of unlocking new and advanced recipes for items, stations, tools, and more. Moreover, after discovering that you have to build an airship to explore other islands, you will come to know that you need a whole lot more cloth. In this guide, we will tell you how to get cloth in Solarpunk.

How to Get Cloth in Solarpunk

Cloth is one of the refined resources in Solarpunk that is crafted from Cotton. Without the cotton, you cannot get cloth. Cotton is one of the earliest plants that you can find growing on the starting island. However, there are only a limited number of cotton plants growing on the island. To ensure a consistent supply of cotton to turn into cloth, you must plant and grow cotton yourself.

Every time you forage cotton, it will give you a cotton seed. You can plant the cotton seeds after tilling the soil, using the Hoe (tool), and water to make them grow. It will take some time for the seeds to mature. Once they are ready, you can harvest the cotton and then plant more seeds for a consistent supply.

Now that you have Cotton, you can turn it into Cloth at the Workbench. Head over to the workbench and interact with it. Navigate to the “Resources” tab to find the Cloth recipe. It will take 1x Cotton to make 1x Cloth.

Use of Cloth in Solarpunk

The initial use of the Cloth in Solarpunk is to build the Research Table. It is a crucial work station for unlocking new and advanced crafting recipes. As you craft and build further, you will have to build the Airship Dock and the Airship. Building these requires a high amount of Cloth, so you will either have to gather cotton or plant enough. Other than that, Cloth is used in various other recipes.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
