State of Play Summary 02/25/2021: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Kena, and all the news announced

The first State of Play of 2021 has already taken place and in it, PlayStation has been detailing some of the news that will arrive on PS5 and PS4 in the coming months.

PlayStation announced by surprise the celebration of a new State of Play for this February 25, 2021. The traditional Sony presentations in regards to its games division begin with this first event of which we have already been able to know a good amount of details.

As part of this first taste of the year that has been underway for a while now, PlayStation wanted to revisit the plans it began revealing months ago. With PS5 already on the gas and PS4 showing no signs of fatigue, the Japanese company has revealed a few surprises.

Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time for PS5

Crash Bandicoot 4: it's About Time Will feature competitive and cooperative multiplayer

The State of Play has kicked off with an expected announcement, some additional details on Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time for PS5. This version boasts 4K resolution and 60 fps. In addition, this delivery will also support extra functions with the DualSense controller such as haptic feedback, use of adaptive triggers, and 3D audio.

A new look at Returnal

Returnal has been shown again in an extensive look. The first PS5 exclusive for 2021 will show off frenzied gunplay, loaded with action in the purest style of its developer, Housemarque.

Knockout City

The competitive multiplayer title developed by Velan Studios has once again been seen. Kockout City immerses us in games full of madness that imitate dodgeball. Details have been unveiled about a new map and a ball that will act as a long-range weapon.

SIFU

Strikes and martial arts, with a cartoon touch, are the hallmarks of this game in which hand-to-hand fighting will be its main characteristic. Sifu will be released in 2021 for PlayStation 5. This third-person beat em up is the work of Slowcap, a studio that already knows about fighting, after its title Absolver.

Solar Ash

The open-world indie proposal that mixes platforms with exploration, rhythm, and combat has once again been seen in a more extensive way. Solar Ash will drink from science fiction and a very striking color palette. It will arrive on PS4 and PS5 this year, although it does not have a release date.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach

The familiar horror formula that has long plagued thousands of gamers returns with Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. This title will be available in 2021 for PS5 and PS4

Kena Bridge of Spirits

The beautiful Kena Bridge of Spirits has not missed his appointment with this State of Play. With a new trailer, this indie developed by EmberLab has offered a better look at its history and gameplay. After several months of waiting, we finally know that Kena Bridge of Spirits will arrive on August 24 to PS5, PS4, and PC.

Death loop

The news from Arkane Studios, creators of Dishonored, has had its moment of prominence with some new images that have revealed very illustrative gameplay of this original action proposal. As always, we will have many ways to carry out all kinds of murders and escape from that eternal time cycle in which we will be involved.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and PS5 version

We return to Midgar, but this time on the new Sony console. The Square Enix title has already presented its novelties, among them, more playable content headed by more characters (Juffie) and adventures with its Intergrade expansion. Besides, a comparative video has allowed us to know the main changes between the PS4 and PS5 versions. Improvements in resolution, framerate, lighting, photo mode, and more.

Oddworld Soulstorm

The new installment of the saga will be part of the free PS Plus games in the month of April. Apart from this news, Oddworld Soulstorm has been showing everything it has to offer. We will be able to craft materials, adopt a more pacifist role, and much more. It will arrive on PS4 and PS5 on April 6.
