The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition announced, also for Xbox Series X and PS5

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition, a re-release of the fifth chapter in the Elder Scrolls saga, has been announced for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Basically, it’s an updated version of the Special Edition, to which more than 500 mods from the Creation Club, the platform run by Bethesda itself, will be added. It will be available from 11 November 2021.

There are a couple of important details to note: those who already own The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition will be entitled to a free upgrade to the new version on both PC and consoles. In addition, those who purchase the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be eligible for a free upgrade to the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S versions, respectively.

However, the focus of the offer seems to be the mods, which will add a lot of features to Skyrim, such as fishing, shown in the image below.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition certainly doesn’t hurt, but with all the fans waiting for news on The Elder Scrolls VI, we imagine some may have been baffled by this announcement, which also reminds us that it’s been ten years since the last The Elder Scrolls in the regular series.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
