The Infestation Part 3 Quest Walkthrough – Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Infestation Part 3 is a friendship quest for Timon in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Players will be able to pursue this quest upon reaching Friendship Level 10 with him and progressing enough in the previous part of the quest for Pumbaa. This guide will walk you through the Infestation Part 3 quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete The Infestation Part 3 Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Starting the Quest

To initiate the Infestation Part 3 quest, players must complete part 1 of the quest and progress enough in the Infestation Part 2 quest for Pumbaa. The part 3 quest will start automatically requiring you to speak with Timon.

Enter the Dark Castle

After speaking with Timon, meet with Timon and Pumbaa in the Plaza near the portal entrance to the Dark Castle. Speak with Timon and then interact with the portal to teleport to the Dark Castle. Here, speak with Timon again and then make your way towards the Dark Castle.

Clear the Dark Castle’s Mite Infestation

Upon entering the Dark Castle, you need to remove Night Mite Nests and catch the Night Mites on all floors of the Dark Castle.

• Remove 5 Night Mite Nests
• Catch 10 Night Mites
• Regroup with Timon at the top of the Dark Castle.

Remove the first Night Mite nest on the bottom floor and catch the Night Mites. Enter the door ahead to go up to the next floor and catch the Night Mites. Go up the staircase and remove the second nest. Continue ahead and enter the next door. Follow up along the staircase to find another nest. Now, enter the next door to reach the top of the Dark Castle. Meet with Timon and remove the nest. Lastly, enter the door to find the final nest and Night Mites. Once done, go back up to the top of the Dark Castle and speak with Pumbaa.

Collect and activate the Dark Pickaxe Upgrade

Now, interact with the barrel beside Pumbaa to collect the Dark Pickaxe Upgrade. Open the inventory and use the upgrade to activate it.

Break the strange rock and catch the remaining Night Mites

Break the strange rock on the top floor of the Dark Castle to reveal another Night Mite Nest. Remove the nest and catch all three Night Mites. Once done, speak with Timon and then go back to the Dreamlight Valley.

NOTE: Upon returning to the Valley after clearing the Dark Castle, you will have to complete The Infestation Finale quest for Merlin before you can finish this quest.

After completing the Infestation Finale quest, speak to Timon to conclude the quest.

Completing the Infestation Part 3 quest will give the following rewards.
