THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT IS COMING TO THE NEXT GENERATION

The developers promise to add ray tracing and fast downloads to the game, and HDR will appear on the PC for the first time. Improved graphics will be available in both the base game and expansion packs.

For current owners of The Witcher 3, the update will be free, but it will also be possible to buy it separately – on disk or digitally.

The release is scheduled for 2021.

Here is the official statement:

We’re working on the next-generation edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!

Developed to take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware, the next-gen edition of the game will feature a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content.

The next-generation edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release as a standalone purchase for PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5, as well as a free update for everyone who already owns the game on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Remedy previously announced a similar update for Control, but owners of the current version of the game and even the Season Pass will not receive it – for improved graphics on new consoles, you will need to buy the Ultimate Edition.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
