Up the Hill Quest – Palia

Up the Hill is the new guide/discovery quest in Palia. Nai’o gives this quest after helping him locate all the stables in the Elderwood. It is time to finally set up a proper Stables network in Elderwood by placing the Stables Board in your plot area. This guide will walk you through the Up the Hill quest in Palia.

How to Complete the Up The Hill Quest in Palia

Starting the Quest

Players can initiate the Up the Hill quest by speaking with Nai’o at the Central Stables after completing the Through the Woods quest. If you haven’t completed the Through the Woods quest, make sure to complete it first, otherwise, the Up the Hill quest will not trigger. Once done, speak with Nai’o and go through the dialogues to get your instructions on placing the Stables Board.

Gather the Materials

Upon speaking with Nai’o, you will have to gather the following materials.

• 30x Ancient Wood Plank
• 7x Whitestone Slab

Both of these materials are craftable, and you must get their respective recipes in order to craft them. However, first of all, it is best to get the resources for these craftable materials.

• Gather the Ancient Wood by cutting the Ancient Trees in the Elderwood map zone. Forage at least 30 Ancient Wood.
• Gather the Whitestone by mining the Whitestone nodes in the Elderwood map zone. Mine at least 14 Whitestone.

Now, it is time to acquire their recipes. Go to Ashura and open his guild store to purchase the Ancient Wood Plank recipe for 500 Gold. After that, go to Hodari and open his guild store to purchase the Whitestone Slab recipe for 300 Gold.

Upon getting the recipes, go to the Housing Plot and make the Planks at the Sawmill and the Slabs at the Smelter. The Ancient Wood Plank requires 1x Ancient Wood and crafts in 30 seconds (Basic Sawmill). The Whitestone Slab requires 2x Whitestone and crafts in 4 minutes (Basic Smelter).

Make sure to add the corresponding number of resources to both stations to craft the required amount of materials. Wait for the materials to craft, and then collect them from the respective stations.

Craft a Stables Board

Now, head to the Worktable and search the Stables Sign to find the recipe for Stables Board. Select the recipe and make it once. Once done, go into the building mode and place the Stables Sign anywhere in your Housing Plot.

Talk to Nai’o on your plot

After placing the Stables Board at your Housing Plot, Nai’o will visit you. Go to the front of the plot to meet with Nai’o. Go through the dialogues, and the Up the Hill quest will conclude.
