Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom still have the tedious menu from BOTW & TOTK

The latest addition to The Legend of Zelda series, Echoes of Wisdom is the first title that introduces Princess Zelda as the main protagonist. Princess Zelda has to save the Hyrule World and Link on her own while removing the mysterious rifts that appeared. Although the adventure itself is quite compelling and promising, players are not happy with the menu design in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Echo Menu Design

Echo is one of the main features in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom that allows Princess Zelda to summon various items and monsters throughout her adventure. There are over one hundred different echoes including objects, structures, distraction items, and monsters. Now, accessing or selecting an echo will require you to use the D-Pad, but it will show all of the echoes in a linear row, the same as in BOTW and TOTK.

Recently, GameXplain on YouTube released a video regarding the menu in the new Zelda and suggested a few ideas on how Nintendo can make it better. As the menu shows all echoes in a linear row, GameXplain suggested that Nintendo can easily add an additional one or two rows on the screen to make finding and accessing echoes easier.

Moreover, they also suggested a drop-down menu for all echoes that have levels like the beds, Moblin monsters, etc. The drop-down menu will allow players to easily select a level from the drop-down menu, instead of going all the way to the right.

These suggestions will definitely save a lot of players’ time in finding the echoes, but as we know Nintendo it is hard that they would actually implement them.

How to Efficiently Use Menu in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

In addition to the suggestions, the GameXplain also shared a couple of tricks for using the menu.

  • Use the L button, instead of the D-pad to easily browse through the echoes.
  • Use the Notebook menu for a more comprehensive look at all echoes.

Let us know what you guys think about the menu in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
