Honkai: Star Rail – How to Get Relics

Honkai Star Rail features various combat and leveling systems that players must familiarize themselves with to maximize their characters’ potential. Among these systems, Relics play a crucial role in enhancing character strength by boosting specific stats and abilities. Players can equip Relics or complete Sets of Relics on their characters to enhance their overall team potential. Similar to other items in Honkai Star Rail, Relics are divided into rarities, ranging from 1 star to 5 stars. The higher the rarity, the greater the boost provided to the character.

In this guide, we will explain how you can unlock and obtain Relics in Honkai Star Rail.

How to Unlock Relics in Honkai Star Rail

Relics are not immediately available at the beginning of the game. Players need to reach a certain point in the game to unlock them. The first set of Relics becomes available when the Trailblazer character reaches Level 14 and players complete the mission called “Once Fallen in the Abyss.” This mission rewards players with three useful Relics that can be applied to any character.

How to Get Relics in Honkai Star Rail

As Relics significantly enhance character potential, there are several ways for players to acquire them. Not all methods yield high-rarity Relics initially, so players need to be patient and repeat the procedures to obtain more useful Relics. Here are some methods players can follow to obtain and farm Relics in Honkai Star Rail.

1.    World Shop Rewards

Players can get 4 Star Relics from each World Shop of different Worlds in Honkai: Star Rail. As players unlock new worlds, they need to spend the respective currency of the world to complete the threshold of World Shop Rewards to earn the rewards. As players spend more money, they will be able to get high-rarity Relics.

2.   Level up Trailblazer

Leveling up the Trailblazer character is one of the initial methods to obtain most of the Relics. Travel to Astral Express and talk to Pom-Pom to claim the level-up rewards. Players will get low-rarity Relics until Level 20 and after that, as players level up the Trailblazer further, they will start getting high-rarity Relics.

3.    Craft from Omni Synthesizer

Players can also choose to craft the Relics on their own with custom stats that mainly reduces the need for farming the Relics. Relics with custom stats can be accomplished by using an item named Self-Modeling Resin after reaching Equilibrium Level 3.  

4.    Survival Index Tasks

Players can choose to complete the various Survival Index tasks that mainly focus on combat engagement. Players can earn unique Relics by completing the following tasks of the Survival Index.

• Cavern of Corrosion
• Echo of War
• Simulated Universe

Completing the Cavern of Corrosion will reward players with two high-rarity Cavern Relics whereas completing the Echo of War every 3 times a week will reward players with a unique high-rarity Relic. There are 6 different world missions in Simulated Universe that players can choose to complete. Completing the World 3 mission on the first try will reward players with 5-Star Relics.

5.    Treasure Chests

It’s advisable to explore the unlocked regions thoroughly to find every possible treasure chest. Treasure chests not only contain currency or materials but also drop Relics of different rarities.

6.    Operation Briefing

Players can get the Relic Sets by completing the Operation Briefing of Parts 3, 5, and 7. Complete all of the tasks in the Operation Briefing Part and then claim the reward to get the Relic Set.
