Twitch asks the court to close case over a large number of half-naked streamers on the platform
The lawsuit was filed back in June and in it, Eric Estavillo wanted to recover $ 25 million from Twitch as moral compensation for a large number of half-naked girls on the platform. He felt that Twitch was specifically promoting sexual content on the platform, making people addicted. He cited himself as an example since he suffers from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and this badly affects his well-being. He explained that he has 786 female streamers and not a single male streamer in his subscriptions. Twitch just made him addicted to this kind of “content”.
Twitch, on the other hand, does not recognize the lawsuit, since, in its opinion, It “restricts freedom of speech on the site” and asks to close the case in accordance with the Anti-SLAPP laws, the essence of which is to protect companies from frivolous claims.
