Palia: Maws and Paws Event Guide

Palia is hosting a new global community event, Maws and Paws, to celebrate the shark season. It is a brand-new community event in which all players can earn items by participating. The event begins on July 20 and will last until July 27, 2026. In this guide, we will tell you how to participate and what rewards you can get from Palia’s new global event, Maws and Paws.

How to Participate in the Maws and Paws Event in Palia

The Maws and Paws Event is for everyone. Any player can participate in the event and contribute to the global goals to earn the rewards. To participate in the event, players must capture creatures by fishing and hunting. However, only select sharks and creatures count towards the global goals.

• Highland Shark
• Ogopuu
• Emerald Ogopuu
• Waveback Ogopuu

The best way to perform and enjoy the event is with others. Look for players gathered around for fishing or hunting in Palia, and join in to help increase the progress. Lake Shark and Maws spawn in the Saltwater around Elderwood. Maws is a legendary fish and counts 2x towards the community goals. Highland Shark is a new legendary shark, exclusive to the Royal Highlands zone. Catching the Highland Shark counts 5x towards the community goal. However, the Highland Shark only spawns for a player when they have reached tier 28 in Path of the Maws. Other than that, Ogopuu and its variants spawn in the Elderwood region.
