Modern Warfare 4 DMZ: How to Extract from X01 Location

X01 is a brand-new location within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. It was added recently with Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4. X01 is a new permanent location in DMZ that players can enter to explore the big weapon facility, open vaults, locked doors, take down new lieutenants, find rare valuables, and more. However, it is not part of the main DMZ Hajin map; instead, it puts players in a separate X01 location match with its own extraction points. In this guide, we will explain how to extract safely from the X01 location in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ.

What is the X01 Match in DMZ

The X01 location has a separate map from the Hajin map. Once players enter the X01 location before the original DMZ time limit ends, it puts them in a match against other players who are in X01. After the loading screen, players arrive in X01, with its own map and 20-minute time limit.

How to Enter the X01 Location in DMZ

X01 area is a permanent location, located in the northwest corner of Hajin. As you enter the facility’s gate, open the door on the right side. Head inside and enter the elevator on the right. Upon pressing the elevator button, you enter the matchmaking for X01. Once the matchmaking is done, you and your squad enter the X01 location.

How to Extract from the X01 Location in DMZ

Unlike the extraction points in Hajin, where you have to call in a helicopter for extraction, the extraction method at the X01 location is different. At the X01 location, extraction is done through an elevator. On the map, there are 2 elevators active at a time, which are random in every match. Similar to the base DMZ experience, exfil markers are visible on the map.

Go to any exfil location and press the elevator button to call it. It will take about 15 seconds for the elevator to arrive. While the elevator is coming down, more AI enemies will spawn in. Clear out the area near the elevator and then head inside the elevator.

NOTE: The 30-second countdown for the extraction does not go down to 5 seconds in the X01 location.

You must hold for 30 seconds and wait for the elevator to close to extract safely. However, be aware that other players can hear the extraction siren on the map.
