A Fallout player finds out that you can Free Aim using VATs
It has been nine years since the release of Fallout 4 and it is amazing to see that the people with hundreds of hours of playtime still finding new stuff in the game. Recently, a guy named Jamie Morgan on X/Twitter shared a video of Fallout 4 on Xbox Series X using the Free Aim feature while on the VATs screen.
With the video, he said, “WOW So I just figured out that if you Hold Down the VATs button… You can Free Aim in VATs, and not just toggle between enemies. Really useful when scouting.”
In response to this tweet, it is amazing to see that several other players also didn’t know about this.
“Oh wtf I have like 200 hours in this game haha”
“Not sure how useful this would be, but I’m definitely trying it tomorrow. Good find!”
Moreover, the players who knew about this feature, also cleared that this is because of VANS, an Intelligence Perk that players can unlock early in the game. The VANS perk highlights the shortest route to your marked destination/questline marker while you are using the VATs. It is one of the best perks in the game for scouting and finding your way out of buildings/bunkers.
However, most of the players who have played Fallout 4 on consoles, might not know about this so, if you are one of those who still wander the Wasteland, give it a try.
