Activision reveals the first teaser for next Call of Duty – Black Ops Cold War

Activision reveals how much space it will take to preload Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on all platforms

As expected, the next Call of Duty was subtitled Black Ops Cold War. The title was revealed in a video with footage from the historical chronicle of the Cold War between the USSR and the USA.

The video with the announcement of the Black Ops Cold War was first discovered by a player and dataminer under the nickname Geeky Pastimes. Activision has teased the game since the beginning of August – the publisher launched an ARG, within which the phrase “Know your history” and the inscription in Russian “Doomed to repeat it” appeared in Warzone, fans deciphered messages sent to streamers in black boxes, and then solved the Pawn Takes Pawn teaser site puzzle.

The first Black Ops Cold War video features excerpts from an interview with Yuri Bezmenov, a KGB officer and propaganda and subversive expert who fled to the United States in 1970. He talks about the stages of ideological sabotage that the USSR allegedly arranged: demoralization, destabilization, crisis and normalization.

The video also mentions a Soviet spy nicknamed “Perseus”, who allegedly gave the USSR the method of making a hydrogen bomb and was never caught, and his identity is still unknown.

Black Ops Cold War, which is being developed by Treyarch studio with the support of Raven Software, will be shown “in Verdansk”, that is, apparently, in Call of Duty Warzone on August 26th.
