Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden - All Endings

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden has five different endings to its narrative from which players will be able to get only one depending on their choices throughout the adventure. All of these endings are dependent on the Oath Choices which include Ascent or Resurrection that players will get to decide during the early hours of the game.

From there, players will be put into several situations where they will have to conclude ascending/banishing a haunting ghost or blaming an innocent life to get essence for the resurrection of Antea. The more haunting cases that players solve with the respective outcome, the closer they will get to the ending that they are hoping for.

In this guide, we’ll be listing down all the endings for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and how you can get them.

All Endings in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

There are five different endings in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden from which players will only get to shape one by solving as many Haunting Cases throughout the adventure. The main story of the game puts out enough Haunting Cases for players to solve to shape the ending but the choices made in the conclusion of the Haunting Cases are what shape the actual ending of a playthrough.

All the endings that players can get in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden are the following.

  • Ascent Oath Fulfilled (Best Ending)
  • Ascent Oath Partially Filled (Good Ending)
  • Resurrection Oath Filled (Sort of Good/Bad Ending)
  • Ascend Oath Failed (Worst Ending)
  • Resurrection Oath Failed (Worst Ending)

Each ending has a different outcome than the other except the last two ones as they both have a similar outcome but require a different method to achieve. We will be explaining each ending with the method to get everyone.

NOTE: The explanation of endings has major SPOILERS!

Ascent Oath Fulfilled – Ending

This is the best ending in the game as Red will successfully Ascend Antea’s ghost which brings peace to both of them. Red buries Antea’s body and after a hard time of grief, he recovers and shares Antea’s stories with the children and his apprentices.

Method to Get This Ending

To get this ending, you first have to select the Ascent Oath while pursuing the main story and after committing, you will have to select the Ascend/Banish option at the closure of every Haunting Case you solve throughout the game.

Ascent Oath Partially Fulfilled – Ending

This is more of a good ending in the game as Red barely manages to successfully Ascend Antea’s ghost which brings only peace to her but Red never recovers from her death and misses her his whole life long.

Method to Get This Ending

To get this ending, you first have to select the Ascent Oath while pursuing the main story and after committing, you will have to select the Ascend/Banish option at the closure of some Haunting Cases, and for some, you need to select the Blame option.

Resurrection Oath Fulfilled – Ending

This can be both a good and a bad ending as Red successfully resurrects Antea and brings her back to life. However, instead of finding peace, Antea never recovers from the time being dead and Red is terrified of the murders that he has done to bring back Antea. Although they left New Eden town for good, they both come to a “shared interest”, which is murdering more people.

Method to Get This Ending

To get this ending, you first have to select the Resurrection Oath while pursuing the main story and after committing, you will have to select the Blame option at the closure of every Haunting Case you solve throughout the game.

Ascent Oath Failed – Ending

This is the worst ending in the game as Red fails to fulfill his Oath to Antea to ascend her ghost and bring peace to her. Antea feels failed by Red which brings Deborah’s Retribution state back and unveils that the Seeker is actually a younger self of the “Witch”. After this wild story implication, the Nightmare brings Red right back to the cave at the beach from he started his journey.

Method to Get This Ending

To get this ending, you have to select the Ascent Oath while pursuing the main story and once you have committed, you need to start choosing the Blame option instead of the Ascend/Banish option while concluding every Haunting Case in the playthrough.

Resurrection Oath Failed – Ending

This is the worst ending in the game as Red fails to fulfill his Oath to Antea to resurrect her and bring her back to life. Antea feels failed by Red which brings Deborah’s Retribution state back and unveils that the Seeker is actually a younger self of the “Witch”. After this wild story implication, the Nightmare brings Red right back to the cave at the beach from he started his journey.

Method to Get This Ending

To get this ending, you have to select the Resurrection Oath while pursuing the main story and once you have committed, you need to start choosing the Ascend/Banish option instead of the Blame option while concluding every Haunting Case in the playthrough.
