Best Cards in the Sword and Shield Expansion: Pokémon TCG Combat Styles

On March 19, a new expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game will be released within the Pokémon Sword and Shield series, baptized as ‘Combat Styles’.

This expansion includes more than 160 different cards, many Pokémon from the Galar region, Pokémon V and Pokémon VMAX among others, which is why we leave you the continuation which is the best of them all.

Urshifu V and Urshifu VMAX

This expansion has Urshifu as the main Pokémon, which suggests that the cards of both forms are the most powerful.

Among its attacks we can find “Gale Thrust” or G-Max Fluid Blow, to which is added “Hundred Furtious Blows” in its V version. On the other hand, G-Max Rapid Flow has the ability to deal 120 points of damage to two opponent’s Pokémon, the plus point of which is that it ignores both the weakness and the toughness of the opponent’s card.

Finally, regarding this Pokémon, it is worth highlighting its G-Max Sharp Strike movement. Although its damage can reach 270 points, it is important to know that it forces you to discard all the energies attached to the card of the user.

Krickretune V

Kricketune has never been a Pokémon whose appearance or stats make it powerful or feared, something that seems to be changing with this new expansion to the Pokémon TCG.

This is due to the “Excite Stage” of the Kricketune V card, which allows players to draw cards until they have a total of 3 in their hand, which can be used even while the card is on the bench.

In addition, it also has X Scissors as an attack, which with 160 power is not exactly a small thing.

Victini V and VMAX

Victini V and Victini VMAX have “Spreading Flames” in this expansion. This ability allows the player to join 3 Fire energies to any of the Pokémon on your bench, without any type of restriction, something really useful when forming a deck with many Fire-type Pokémon.

Flapple V and VMAX

Flapple has a move that makes it one of the best options in this expansion of the Pokémon TCG, called “Tart Saliva”, whose effect is to increase the cost of the opponent’s card attack.

This, coupled with G-Max Rolling, which deals 250 damage if the Pokémon is at full health and 10 points less for each damage counter, makes it a winning card.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
