Cyberpunk 2077 Returns To PS Store On June 21st

Cyberpunk 2077 confirms its return to the PS Store on June 21, although its file was already available. It is recommended to play it on PS5 and PS4 Pro.

UPDATED: CD Projekt RED confirms that Cyberpunk 2077 will return to the PlayStation Store on June 21. The game card and the option to add to the wish list were already available, but it will be next week when the game can be purchased in digital format.

Of course, Sony will include a warning message in the Cyberpunk 2077 tab of the PS Store (as Microsoft already did), stating that “ it is recommended to play on PS5 (via backward compatibility) or PS4 Pro, to obtain better performance ”.

ORIGINAL: A few months ago, Sony removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS Store, due to problems with returns and serious technical errors that the RPG had on PS4 and PS5. While the performance on the next-gen console was noticeably better, it must be remembered that the title belongs natively to the PS4, as the next-gen versions will be released at the end of the year.

After much uncertainty about when Cyberpunk would return in digital format for PlayStation (in the physical format it was still available), it seems that the day has finally arrived. This morning a screenshot was leaked, shared by IGN and Nibel, showing the Cyberpunk 2077 file on the PS Store, available for download on PS5 and PS4.

Specifically, Cyberpunk 2077 appears if you search for the title in the PS Store search bar, with the tab ” Recently added ”. You can either buy it from scratch, add it to the wish list, check features or update the game (if you already have it) to version 1.22. It should be remembered that the performance of the PS4 has improved compared to its launch, although it continues to have problems.

The IGN medium states that they have contacted Sony and CD Projekt to confirm this incorporation. In the absence of confirmation, Cyberpunk 2077 is available again on the PS Store, after several months of absence. By contrast, in Microsoft Store, it was never removed, although a warning about its performance on Xbox One appeared .

As CD Projekt commented in its day, patch 1.2 was a big step for Sony to accept the return of Cyberpunk 2077 to the PlayStation digital store. There were those who claimed that he would not return until the end of the year (when the PS5 version came out), but finally, it seems not to be.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available again on the PS Store, at least for now. If you haven’t tried CD Projekt’s futuristic RPG, we encourage you to download it, although it’s best if you can enjoy it on PS5 or PS4 Pro. In a few months, all those who have the game will be able to update it to the next-gen version totally free.
