Dead Cells

Dead Cells’ new DLC is out now and its price is $9.99 just like the previous DLCs. The new DLC name is Return to Castlevania and by buying this DLC, you will be able to explore the new locations, meet new NPCs, and unlock new weapons. However, buying the DLC is not enough to unlock the new locations, you will have to find the entrance to the new location to start the DLC.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to start the Return to Castlevania DLC in Dead Cells.

Start the Return to Castlevania DLC

The very first is to purchase the Return to Castlevania DLC. Without it, you will not get to the next step that you have to do in order to get access to the new location. After buying the DLC, you will have to die three times or fail a run three times. It can be done on any run and if you have a previous save where you died three times then that will work also. Once you have died three times, you will see red bats flying on your screen.

It means that the access to a new location is now unlocked and you have to start a new run on the location named “Prisoner’s Quarters”. You will have to go through the Prisoner’s Quarters stage and you need to go towards the bottom right of the stage where you will find a staircase. You need to go down the staircase to find an NPC named “Richter Belmont”.

Meet Richter Belmont

You need to talk to Richter and after that, go down the staircase. You will find the entrance of the “Castle’s Outskirts” biome. You can explore Prisoner’s Quarters biome more to level up or unlock new weapons as the other biomes are more difficult and there are new bosses as well that you will get to encounter. So, it is recommended to level up your character and get weapons to defeat enemies.
