Diablo IV: Best Classes for Season 1

Diablo IV’s 1st season, Season of Malignant is live now, and the very first challenge that players will have to face is to select the class they want to play in the season. As all of the classes have faced balance changes, affecting the popular builds of the classes. Due to the changes in the previous Patch Notes of D4, we’ll be highlighting all the possible and viable builds for each class along with telling you which classes are the best for Season 1 of Diablo IV.
Possible and Viable Builds of Classes in Season 1 of Diablo IV
Almost every ability aspect of classes has been nerfed which greatly impacts the builds of classes. However, with the new Hearts synergies in Season of Malignant, classes will get an excessive boost to their damage which can allow players to try out the builds of classes.
Barbarian
The builds that are still viable in Season 1 for Barbarian are Whirlwind and Double Swing. Even though all of the survivability nerfs and damage nerfs on other abilities of Barbarian will deal less damage but the Whirlwind ability stays the same. Players can deal tons of damage with the Whirlwind ability equipped with Heart and can take down several enemies in the surrounding. The Double Swing build deals tons of damage to single-target enemies equipped with the Heart. As the Double Swing only targets the single-target enemy, it will feel a lot slower than the other abilities but it is great for hunting down elites or completing the Nightmare Dungeons.
Necromancer
Necromancer’s Bone Spear also received nerfs in the previous patch but it is still viable in Season 1 as it can deal great damage to enemies in the range. However, the best build for Necromancer in Season 1 would still be the Minion Thorn build as the damage caused by minions can be increased with equipped Heart. The Hearts will also enhance the damage of Necromancer while not using Minions.
Sorcerer
Sorcerer has received a lot of nerfs and it is considered now as the weakest class in Diablo IV because of the obvious reasons. However, if players still want to play the Sorcerer class in Season 1, it is best to go for the Ice Shards or Blizzard builds because these two builds will only be viable with the new Hearts synergy. The Sorcerer can multiply the projectiles by equipping the Heart which can be useful in fights but players will have to utilize Mana accordingly as it can be drained pretty quickly.
Rogue
Rogue’s viable and probably strongest build in Season 1 is Poisoned Twisting Blades. As Rogue attacks fast with the twisting blades even in the normal potency, the new Hearts will increase the potency even further whereas the other aspect will increase the damage of darts that can deal crit damage. Players can easily do crowd control with darts and take down enemies a lot quicker than the other classes in the game.
Druid
Druid is probably the only class that has multiple viable builds. The Tornado, Bulwark, Lightning Storm, and even Shred is viable build in Season 1. However, the strongest-looking build for Druid in Season 1 is Lightning Storm because it can be paired with the new Heart synergy that sends out lightning to all the charged enemies. As the normal abilities of the druid will be charging the enemies, using the lightning storm will send out bolts of lightning all around dealing massive damage to enemies.
Best Classes for Season 1 of Diablo IV
After figuring out the best possible builds of classes in Season 1, these are the best following classes for Season 1 of Diablo IV.
Druid
Druid stands out as number 1 because there is a lot of build diversity for Druid. It is better in all aspects of crowd control, damage output, and survivability.

Rogue
Rogue is unstoppable with its fast-paced attacking and is probably the most fun class to play with in Season 1.

Barbarian
Barbarian is still a good option for Season 1 as players can choose between a couple of builds according to the situation.

Necromancer
Necromancer can be played with a couple of builds as well including the Bone Spear and Minion Thorn but players must select the one, they are more comfortable with.

Sorcerer
Sorcerer is the weakest link for season 1 due to a lack of strength and potency. It can be used for crowd control with the minions but it is not powerful as the other classes.

That is all related to the Best Classes for Season 1 of Diablo IV.
