Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Halloween Invasion Quest Guide

A Halloween Invasion is a new friendship quest for Oogie Boogie in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It was added with the Season of Scares free update. The new update brings the Halloween vibe to the Valley and a limited-time chance to unlock Oogie Boogie as a villager. Players have to participate and complete a series of challenges for Oogie Boogie before they can welcome him to the Valley. To start the challenges, players must start with the A Halloween Invasion quest. In this guide, we will walk you through the A Halloween Invasion quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

A Halloween Invasion Quest Walkthrough – Disney Dreamlight Valley

The A Halloween Invasion quest becomes available after unlocking the Peaceful Meadow biome, Scrooge McDuck’s Store, and Chez Remy. All of these requirements are pretty early-game, so you should have the A Halloween Invasion quest available under the Friendship Quests section in the Quests tab.

Visit Scrooge’s Store

Once you have the quest available, head to Scrooge McDuck’s Store and speak with Scrooge. He will mention a strange mirror appearing in his store. Go near the counter to find a green mirror. Interact with the mirror to inspect it, but it will break in the process.

Enter the Strange Mirror and Talk to Oogie Boogie

Interact with the mirror to go through it, and you will enter a strange version of Scrooge McDuck’s Store. Head up the staircase to find Oogie Boogie standing next to a spinning wheel. Speak with Oogie Boogie and go through the dialogue. He will ask you to spin the Lucky Wheel. Head over to the wheel and interact with it. Unfortunately, the wheel will not spin. Go and speak with Oogie Boogie again.

Play the Whack-a-Pumpkin Game to Gather Fear Essence

After speaking with Oogie Boogie, follow him to the Whack-a-Pumpkin game. Smash the Pumpkins using your pickaxe and gather Fear Essence. Interact with the switch to begin the game, then head inside the area to start smashing the pumpkins. Break 10 pumpkins and gather 10 Fear Essence to complete the game.

NOTE: If the game finishes, you can restart it by pressing the switch again.

Spin the Lucky Wheel

Once you have enough Fear Essence, go to the Lucky Wheel. Interact with the crank to use the Fear Essence and spin the Lucky Wheel. After spinning the wheel, speak with Oogie Boogie.

Clear the Bugs and Pumpkins from the Valley

After speaking with Oogie Boogie, head downstairs and go back to the Valley. Go to Mickey’s House and remove Oogie Boogie Bugs inside. Interact with the bugs to remove them. Once done, go to Goofy’s House and remove all the bugs.

After taking care of the bugs, there will be 8 Pumpkins: 4 in the Plaza and 4 in the Peaceful Meadow. You need to find and remove these pumpkins using your pickaxe tool. Some of these pumpkins will be sweet and drop Fear Essence, and others will be spooky. Remove all the pumpkins to gather at least 20 Fear Essence.

TIP: Use the furniture mode to find all the pumpkins easily.

Bring Fear Essence to Oogie Boogie

After gathering the Fear Essence, go back to Oogie Boogie through the Strange Mirror inside Scrooge’s Store. Speak with Oogie Boogie to give him the Fear Essence. Now, interact with the Lucky Wheel to spin it.

A chest will appear on the floor. Interact with the chest and pick up the pouch. Open the inventory and open the Lucky Wheel Prize to get the “Oogie Boogie’s Lair Skeletons” furniture item as a reward. After confirming the reward, the quest will conclude.
