Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Complete Gaston’s Challenge Quest

Gaston’s Challenge is a sub-quest within the A Cockamamie Contest quest for Oswald that players must complete to progress ahead in the A Cockamamie Contest quest. This sub-quest acts as a challenge set by Gaston and requires players to complete it. This guide will walk you through how to complete Gaston’s Challenge Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete Gaston’s Challenge Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Starting the Quest

This quest becomes available once players have progressed enough in the A Cockamamie Contest quest to check in with Oswald after bringing him spicy food and taking out the fire in his house. As players speak to Oswald in his house, he will tell you that he would like to compete with you in a series of challenges set by the villagers. One of the challenges will be from Gaston, so go to him and speak with him to initiate Gaston’s Challenge.

Break the Rocks around Eternity Isle

Upon speaking to Gaston, he will tell you to prove your strength by breaking the following rocks around Eternity Isle.

• 3 Copper Rocks – Found all over the Eternity Isle. Use the Pickaxe to break the Cropper Rocks.
• 3 Glass Stalagmites – Found in all the areas of the Glittering Dunes biome. Use the Pickaxe to break the Glass Stalagmites.

Speak to Oswald and Fill in the Holes left by Oswald

Once you have broken all the required rocks, speak to Oswald to see how he cleared the rocks. Oswald will reveal that he cast holes to remove the rocks. After speaking to Oswald, go around the areas of the Glittering Dunes to find the holes in the ground and remove them by interacting with them.

NOTE: The locations of the holes might be random. We found one hole in The Borderlands area and the rest of the three holes on the sandy path above the Borderlands area.

Completing the Quest

Upon removing the holes left by Oswald, go back to Gaston and speak with him to find out you won the challenge which will conclude the quest.

Rewards

Completing Gaston’s Challenge will give 1,000 Friendship Points as a reward.
