How to Complete A Cockamamie Contest Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Starting the Quest

A Cockamamie Contest quest becomes available upon completing An Alarming Development quest and reaching Friendship Level 7 with him. You can find the quest under the Quests’ Menu and make it an active quest. To initiate the quest, find Oswald and speak with him to learn that he has been asking to speak with you but first, he will ask you to get him some spicy food to re-vulcanize his limbs.

Gather what Oswald needed

Oswald will give you the recipe for Tandoori Chicken and ask you to get five Chili Peppers. You can get the Chili Peppers from Goofy’s Stall in the Sunlit Plateau for 117 Star Coins each.

NOTE: Purchase six Chili Peppers in total as you will need one to make Tandoori Chicken.

Now, to cook Tandoori Chicken, you will need the following ingredients.

  • 1x Chili Pepper
  • 1x Poultry
  • 1x Cumin
  • 1x Paprika

Once you have all the ingredients, go to any Cooking Station and cook Tandoori Chicken. After getting all the needed items for Oswald, go to his house to hand him the items.

Take a picture of Oswald and put out the fire in his house

After handing him the spicy food, see his re-vulcanization process and then take a picture of him in the house. Once done, equip the Royal Watering Can and take out all the fires.

Check Back with Oswald and Complete the Challenges

After putting out the fire inside Oswald’s House, speak to him to learn that he wants to compete in a set of challenges with you. He will tell you that the villagers have challenges for you and you need to complete them.

Once you are done speaking to Oswald, three different challenges will appear in the Quests’ Menu. You need to complete each one to progress further in the quest.

Speak to Oswald and Follow him to the beginning of the race

After completing all the challenges, go and speak with Oswald to learn about his performance in the challenges. However, Oswald is not done yet even though you won all the challenges and challenges you to race him through Eternity Isle. Now, follow Oswald to get to the start of the race.

Race Oswald through Eternity Isle

The race is pretty straightforward requiring you to cross through each checkpoint (Black and White Balloons). There will be eight checkpoints in total starting from the bridge at The Courtyard area of Anceint’s Landing biome to the bottom of the Cave of Wonders in the Glittering Dunes biome.

Race Layout:

  • Head onto the bridge to cross the first checkpoint.
  • Turn right into the Wild Tangle to cross the second checkpoint.
  • Cross the third checkpoint to head over the river.
  • Cross the fourth checkpoint and head up the hill.
  • Cross the fifth checkpoint.
  • Turn left to cross the sixth checkpoint into the Glittering Dunes.
  • Cross the seventh checkpoint to head further into the Glittering Dunes.
  • Cross the eighth checkpoint to approach the Cave of Wonders.
  • Reach the checkpoint at the bottom of the Cave of Wonders.

Completing the Quest

Upon reaching the bottom of the Cave of Wonders, you will find Oswald already there. Speak to him to find out how he beat you in the race and the quest will be concluded.

Completing A Cockamamie Contest quest will give 2,200 Friendship Points as a reward.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
