Unlocking the Portal

The Dark Castle is the antithesis of the Dream Castle in Dreamlight Valley, and the only way to access it is through a portal. Merlin will unlock the portal once you have gathered all of the Forgotten Relics. These relics can be acquired during the “Forgotten Relics” quest given by Merlin. Collect all four relics, which are essential for casting a spell to open the portal to the Dark Castle.

Delivering the Forgotten Relics

Bring all four Forgotten Relics to Merlin, and then accompany him to the Plaza. Merlin will utilize the relics to cast the spell that opens the portal. Once the portal is active, simply interact with it to step through and be transported to the Dark Castle. This sequence occurs during the final quest of the story called “The Dark Castle.”

Accessing the Dark Castle

After completing the story and the 1st Act, the portal to the Dark Castle will remain open. Players can freely venture to the Dark Castle at any time by interacting with the portal. Keep in mind that as the story progresses in subsequent acts, the Dark Castle holds new puzzles and discoveries that will be unveiled in future updates.
