Disney Dreamlight Valley: Shine A Light Quest – Walkthrough

After unlocking the different areas around the village and leveling up the friendship with Mother Gothel, she’ll give you a quest named “Shine A Light” in which you’ll have to place three torches on the bottom of the Mystical Cave to reveal the Signs.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to complete Shine A Light quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Shine A Light Quest

Your first objective of this quest will be to get the resources for the Light Torches. You’ll need to collect the following resources.

• 45x Softwood
• 60x Fiber
• 3x Garnet
• 3x Aquamarine
• 3x Citrine

Softwoods can easily be found under the trees. Check each tree in your route through the village and different areas to collect 45 Softwoods. To get the Fiber, you’ll have to collect the Seaweed because Fiber is crafted from Seaweed. In order to get Seaweed, you’ll need to fish on the outside of the circle. Go to any pond or water and cast the line far from the fishing circle. You’ll be able to catch the Seaweed. 1 Seaweed makes 5x Fiber so, you’ll be needing a total of 12x Seaweed to craft 60x Fiber.

Garnet can be found in the Plaza area and Peaceful Meadows. There are several Black-Colored Rocks in those areas from which you can find the Garnet Gems. Aquamarine can be found in the Dazzle Beach and Forest of Valor. Look for the Black-Colored Rocks and smash them with the Pickaxe to get Aquamarine Gems. Citrine can be found in the Glade of Trust and Sunlit Plateau. Citrine is an orange-colored gem and you can find it by smashing the Black-Colored Rocks in the areas.

After you’ve collected all of the resources, go to any crafting station and craft a 3x Sunlight Torch. Go to the Furniture category and craft the Torches. After that, talk to Mother Gothel and she’ll tell you to place the torches at the bottom of Mystical Cave. Mystical Cave is on the Dazzle Beach. Go inside the Cave and go to the bottom level and you’ll see 3 stands where you can place the torches. Place all the 3 torches and symbols will appear.

Now, equip the camera and take a picture in which the symbols are showing. After that, go to Mother Gothel and talk to her and after the dialogues, the quest will end.
