Elden Ring: The easiest way to farm the root resin

In Elden Ring, there are a lot of materials that you pick up or get from different places and these materials are very helpful throughout the game. In this guide, we tell you about the Root Resin material that you get from the ground in different areas and how to get more and more root resin quickly.

What is Root Resin in Elden Ring?

Root Resin is extremely useful due to fact that it is the base material that you need to craft grease which is extremely useful especially early on because it allows you to apply very specific status effects or to have very specific weapon properties that you wouldn’t have on that weapon originally.

Root Resins are the orange glowing thing you found right beside trees in the game.

How to farm Root Resin

You can farm Root Resin pretty early in the game, you can get root resin from a very consistent place that has a site of grace right next to it and that is the Warmaster’s Shack which is directly east of the Stormhill Shack. You’ll come across Stormhill Shack when you have passed through the Stormgate.

Head east and you’ll reach Warmaster’s Shack and there’ll be a merchant inside that shack too which you can get Ashes of War for your weapons as well.

Go a bit further steps and you’ll see root resin on the grounds if you keep heading in the east direction you’ll find more resins and the quantity of the resin will be changing as you collect them. Sometimes you collect 1 Root Resin and you’ll get 2 root resins or 3 so it varies between 3 to 1. Go back to Warmaster’s Shack site of grace and rest at it. The root resin will respawn and you can grab them all again.

This is the easiest way to farm the root resin and you can use it in the crafting early in the game.
