Fishing is one of the main activities in Fields of Mistria that will earn players various kinds of fish that can be used in cooking to make delicious and healthy food recipes or can be sold to earn money.

How to Catch Fish in Fields of Mistria

To start with catching fish, the essential item that players will require is the Fishing Rod. Without the Fishing Rod tool, players will not be able to catch a single fish. As the Starter Tools don’t include any tools for fishing, the players must get themselves a Fishing Rod by purchasing it from the Tackle Shop for 500 Tassarae.  

Once you have the fishing rod, follow the following steps to catch the fish.

• Go to one of the fishing spots (ponds, rivers, and ocean). The fishing spot will have a number of fish that can be seen clearly due to their outlined shapes.
• Upon reaching the fishing spot, equip the Fishing Rod by pressing the respective key to the Hotbar. Cast the line near the fish by pressing the interaction button.
• Once you have cast the line, wait for the fish to bite the lure.
• Once the fish have bitten the lure and the bobber moves, quickly press the interaction key again to catch the fish.
• You can speed up the process of catching fish by casting the line right next to the fish to make it bite the lure straight away. However, keep in mind that catching fish costs a lot of Energy.

Fishing in Fields of Mistria is not difficult as there is not any fishing mini-game tied to it. The only thing that players must focus on is the perfect timing of a fish bite to catch the fish. Otherwise, it will cost them a lot of Energy with no potential fish.
